Woomen Worls Beauty Parlour

We are over at Shop No-15-16 near the Gandhi Samarak boundary in Govind Nagar, Kanpur. Our shop is in what people call the Transformer Wali Gali, and we are quite close to the Har Shri Nath Mandir. It’s a typical Kanpur lane, a bit narrow and always something going on. Having the transformer right there makes the lane a landmark for everyone in the area. The shop itself is two units joined together, so we have a bit more space than some of the other local shops. We have different corners for different things. One side is for hair and the other is for everything else. It’s a plain setup with white tiles and a few ceiling fans that click a bit when they are on high speed. Being near the mandir, we hear the bells and the prayers, which is quite nice during the day. We get a mix of people, from young girls to the older ladies who have lived in Govind Nagar forever. We don't do anything flashy. We just have our tools, our chairs, and a small desk where we keep the accounts. Sometimes the lane gets blocked by a stray cow or a delivery rickshaw, but that’s just how it is here. We keep the mirrors clean and make sure the water is running. It’s a down-to-earth place where people can come in, get what they need, and head back to their chores or their homes.
