Addiction Ladies Beauty Salon is located over on Plot No-14/75 in Civil Lines. We are directly opposite United Public School, so we see a lot of parents and kids walking by every morning and afternoon. Kanpur is a big city but this little corner feels a bit more like a community. The shop has been here for a bit and we have seen the street change quite a bit over time. Inside, we have set things up simply so we can get our work done without a lot of fuss. It is not one of those places with a lot of shiny lights, just basic equipment and some chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable. We deal with a lot of local women who just want to get their eyebrows done or maybe get a quick hair wash. Sometimes the school gets out and it gets really noisy outside with all the rickshaws, but we are used to it by now. We don't spend much money on decorations or fancy signs. Most of our furniture we bought when we first opened and it still works fine. Life at the salon is mostly about the chat we have with the ladies while we work. We usually have a cup of tea in the middle of the afternoon when the shop is a bit slower. It is just a way to pass the time before the evening rush starts. It’s a practical place for practical people.
