Annex Ladies Saloon

Annex Ladies Saloon has been sitting here on Mall Road in Kanpur for quite some time. It is a busy area, as anyone from around here knows. Most days start early, getting the towels ready and making sure the mirrors are clean before the first person walks in. We aren't trying to be one of those over-the-top places you see in magazines. It is just a straightforward ladies' saloon. Women come in for their regular stuff, maybe a haircut or getting their eyebrows done. We talk about the weather, the local news, or whatever is happening on Mall Road that day. Sometimes it is quiet, and we just sit and wait for the next customer, and other times every chair is full and we are all rushing around. It can get a bit hectic during wedding season, but that is just how it goes in this business. We know many of our customers by name because they have been coming to us for years. It is nice to have that connection with the neighborhood. The shop itself is simple, nothing too flashy, but it works for us and for the people who visit. Kanpur is a big city, but our corner feels a bit smaller once you step inside. We just do our work, make sure everyone is okay with how they look, and move on to the next. It is a practical way to spend the day and we are glad to be here.
