Alert Hair Saloon

Our little shop is over in Kaka Deo, on Avon Market Road. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Binayak Medical Store. It’s a crowded area because of all the coaching centers and students living around here in Kanpur. The road gets pretty dusty with all the bikes and rickshaws going past 117/L/9 all day. We start our day by pulling up the shutters and splashing some water on the front to keep the dust down. Inside, it’s mostly just the mirrors and the usual hair products on the shelves. We don't use any of that fancy language you hear in big city salons. We just cut hair. The students often come in groups and we have to tell them to wait their turn on the bench outside if it gets too full. It’s a loud, lively place to work. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings us a glass of chai when we have a break between customers. We try to keep the place clean, but with so many people coming in and out, the broom is always in someone's hand. Being in Avon Market means there is always something happening outside. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the busy energy of the neighborhood. It’s just a normal hair shop for normal people who need a trim without any fuss. We don’t have a website or anything, just the sign out front and word of mouth.
