Leather Pavilion

You can find Leather Pavilion at 69/3 in Vijay Nagar. We are near the Vishal Tent area, which most locals use as a landmark. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in. Our shop isn't very big, but we make the most of every inch. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. Most of the time, we need a ladder just to find what we’re looking for. The air feels heavy with the scent of tanned hides. It’s a smell we’ve come to love. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where things happen. We cut, we trim, and we pack. My nephew helps out on the weekends when things get busy. We have an old fan that rattles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. Sometimes the rain leaks in near the back door, so we have to be careful where we stack the goods. We use a lot of chalk to mark the leather before cutting. The tables are scarred from years of blade work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local business trying to do a good job. People stop by to ask for advice on leather care or just to see what’s new. We always have time for a quick word. It’s just how we run things at 69/3. We try to keep the sidewalk clear of our boxes, but it’s a struggle.
