Shivnagi Beauty Parlours

Shivnagi Beauty Parlours is located over in Mirpur Cantt, right across from the Kray Vikray Samiti Gali. If you know where S R Memorial Public School is, we are basically right there. I opened this parlor to help the women in this part of Kanpur have a place for their beauty needs without traveling too far. It’s a modest space, nothing like those big salons you see in the malls. We do threading, waxing, and bridal makeup when the season comes around. The school nearby means it’s always busy with parents and teachers dropping in. I handle most of the work myself with a bit of help. We’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us by name. The walls have some pictures of styles, but mostly we just talk and decide what looks best for the person in the chair. It can get a bit loud when three or four ladies are all talking at once, but that’s just how it is. Kanpur heat is tough, so we keep the fans going all day long. Sometimes we run out of a certain brand of cream and have to wait for the delivery, but we make do with what we have on the shelf. It’s just a normal neighborhood parlor. We don't have a big sign, but the location is easy to find once you’re in Mirpur Cantt. We just try to do a good job so people come back next month for their regular work.
