Shiva Gents Parlour

Shiva Gents Parlour is located right on the Main Road in Shastri Nagar, Kanpur. We are basically directly opposite Central Park, so it is hard to miss us if you are walking by. It is a typical men’s shop where you can get a haircut or a shave without any fuss. We have the usual rotating chairs and the large mirrors that have seen better days. Men from the neighborhood come in all day, especially in the mornings before work or on Sunday afternoons. You will usually find a few people waiting and reading the newspaper or just checking their phones. We don't do anything too complicated, just good old-fashioned barbering. Sometimes the traffic outside on the Main Road gets really loud, but we are used to it by now. It is a place where you can just sit and be yourself for twenty minutes. We’ve got a couple of guys working here who are pretty quick with the scissors. It’s not like those fancy places in the big cities where they charge you for the air conditioning. Here, you pay for the haircut and that’s it. We know most of the guys who live near Central Park because they’ve been coming to us for years. It is a simple life running a shop like this in Kanpur. We just keep the razors sharp and the towels clean for the next person who walks through the door.
