Shail Academy

Our academy is situated at 122/362 in Shastri Nagar, right across from Ratan Jyoti. It’s a familiar landmark for anyone living in this part of Kanpur. The building we use is quite standard for the area. We have several classrooms that we’ve filled with benches and desks over the years. Some of the furniture is a bit older, but it still works fine. I’m usually the one who opens up the place in the morning and checks if the fans are working. It gets hot in Kanpur, so we really rely on those fans. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until the sessions start. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy brochures. We just write the daily schedule on a board near the entrance. Shastri Nagar is a good neighborhood, and we have a lot of locals who walk here. There is a small area where we keep the registers and some basic supplies like pens and paper. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded when it rains heavily, but we just manage it like everyone else in the city. It’s a very human way of running things. We know most of the people who come through our doors by their first names. It’s just a group of us working together in a regular building, trying to keep things moving forward every day without any fuss.
