Chandra Sekhar Azad Digree College is located out in Jamu, which is part of the Kanpur area. If you drive out that way, you will see it’s a bit of a distance from the main city chaos. Jamoo is more of a quiet, rural setting. The college building itself stands out among the flatter landscape around it. We have students coming in from various parts of the district, often by cycle or local transport. Inside, the rooms are pretty basic with standard desks and chairs, and the walls have been painted the same color for years. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbor, and the teachers are familiar faces in the community. During the winter, it gets quite chilly in the mornings, and in the summer, we really feel the heat. There isn't any fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans humming along during lectures. We handle a variety of degree courses, so you see a mix of science and arts students milling about the corridors. The office staff is usually busy with admission forms or helping someone with their hall tickets. It’s a straightforward environment without any bells and whistles. We don’t have a massive cafeteria, just some local vendors nearby where students grab a snack. It’s just a local degree college trying to provide a space for education in a part of Kanpur that isn't the city center, and we like it that way.
