Alok Academy

You can find us at 117/514 on the second floor. It is right at the 9 No. Crossing in Geeta Nagar. Being near the SBI makes it pretty easy for people to explain the location when they are calling. The stairs can be a bit of a climb since we are on the second floor, but it’s good for keeping the noise from the crossing down a bit. Geeta Nagar is a busy area in Kanpur, so there’s always people moving around outside. Inside, it’s just a few rooms set up for teaching. We spend a lot of time organizing notes and making sure the lights are working properly. Sometimes the tea guy comes up with glasses for everyone in the afternoon. It’s a very local feel. We don’t go for any polished corporate look because that isn’t who we are. It’s just Alok Academy, a place where things are kept simple. We write on the boards, talk to the students, and wait for the next class to start. Most days are pretty much the same. We keep an eye on the clock and make sure the sessions don't run over. People from around the neighborhood know the 9 No. Crossing well, so we don't have to give long directions. It’s just a regular spot with chairs, tables, and a lot of books lying around on the desks.
