S. S. Leathers

S. S. Leathers is located at 416/383 Jajmau Road. Jajmau is a busy place, and it’s basically the heart of the leather industry here. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We don't have a big fancy entrance, just a metal door that we roll up every morning. Inside, it's pretty much all work. We have stacks of leather piled up against the walls and a few old machines that have been running for decades. They might look a bit beat up, but they still work perfectly for what we need. We are a small team, mostly family and a few neighbors who have become like family. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and sorting through the different grades of leather. The Jajmau Road outside is always noisy with trucks and rickshaws, but we don't pay much attention to it anymore. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during our lunch break just to watch the world go by. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just show up at the door. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just leather workers doing what we know how to do. It’s a tough job sometimes because the work is physical, but it’s what we’ve always done and we take it one day at a time. We hope to keep doing this for a long time.
