Roop Nikhar Herbal Beauty Parlour

Our little shop, Roop Nikhar Herbal Beauty Parlour, is in Amar Raj Market over in Kalyanpur. We’re right by the Bithur Road, not far from the Kalyanpur crossing. It’s a busy spot with lots of shops around. I’ve always liked using herbal things, so that’s what we focus on here. We make some of our own face packs with neem and sandalwood because it’s better for the skin in this Kanpur weather. The shop isn't very large—just room for a couple of chairs and a small table for the supplies. It can get a bit loud with the traffic from the crossing, but once you’re inside, it’s okay. We help ladies with their hair, skin, and getting ready for parties. A lot of college girls from the nearby area come in for threading. We try to keep our prices fair so they can come often. The walls are painted a soft pink, though it’s starting to peel a bit near the corner. I should probably get that fixed soon. My niece helps me out on the weekends when it gets really busy. We don't have a computer or anything, just a notebook where we write down the appointments and what people paid. It’s a simple way to run things, and it works for us. People know they can come here for honest work without any unnecessary drama or high costs.
