Rabika Chinese Beauty Saloon is situated at 18/5 Block No 2, right in the Bhagwatdham Mandir Gali in Govind Nagar, Kanpur. The name is a bit different, we know, but it’s been our name for a long time. We have been in this lane for some years now. It is a busy little street and the temple nearby means there are always people walking past the window. Our shop is small but we have everything needed for hair and skin. We do a lot of haircuts and sometimes coloring for the ladies in the area. The space is cozy, maybe a bit tight when we have four or five people inside waiting. We have some posters on the walls showing different styles from magazines. The chairs are comfortable enough for a long sitting. Kanpur gets very dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and the products on the shelf. We don't have a big waiting room, just a few stools near the door. People usually come in after they finish their morning shopping or before a wedding. We use regular products, nothing too expensive or strange. The water heater takes a minute to start in the winter, but it works fine once it gets going. We like being in Govind Nagar because the neighbors are friendly and talkative. You can hear the temple bells sometimes while you are getting your hair done. It is just a simple place.
