Pizza Papa Johns

This shop is right in Barra-2, specifically at M.I.G-83. It’s a busy part of Kanpur, so there’s always something happening outside the front door. We started this place because we wanted to have a local spot in the neighborhood. It’s not a huge space, just enough for the kitchen and a small area where people can stand and wait for their food. The heat from the ovens keeps the place really warm, which is nice in the winter but can be a bit much during the summer months. We spend most of our day prepping dough and chopping up vegetables on the back counter. It’s a lot of work, and our hands are usually covered in flour by noon. We don’t have a big management team; it’s just the same few people working the shifts every day. Sometimes the delivery bikes take up too much space on the road, and we have to go out and move them so the neighbors don't get annoyed. We know most of the regulars by sight now. The floor gets a bit messy sometimes no matter how much we try to sweep it during the rush. It’s a real working kitchen, not a fancy showroom. We just keep the lights on and the oven going to get the orders out. It is just a local pizza spot where we try to keep things simple and get through the daily orders.
