Pam Beauty Parlour

Living and working in Kidwai Nagar means things are always moving fast. Pam Beauty Parlour has been part of this Kanpur neighborhood for years. It’s a straightforward place. We don't have those big glass windows or bright neon lights you see in the malls. It is just a regular shop where women from the local houses come to get their basics done. Threading, waxing, and the usual hair oiling are what we do most days. Kanpur can be very dusty, so a lot of people come in just for a quick face wash or a clean-up after being out in the market. The shop is small and sometimes the air conditioner struggles when it’s really hot outside in June, but we make do with fans. I’ve known some of my customers for ten years or more. We talk about our kids and what’s happening in the colony while I work. It’s more like a community spot than a business sometimes. I started this because I liked doing hair, and it turned into a full-time thing. We don't use fancy chemicals or expensive brands that nobody can pronounce. Just the standard stuff that works. My assistant is a local girl who learned everything right here in the shop. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in the city, just a reliable one for the ladies in Kidwai Nagar. Usually, we are open until the sun goes down and then we head home to our families and start all over again the next day.
