Navratan Tanning Industries

We are located over on 150Ft Road in Jajmau. If you’ve been through this part of the city, you know it’s where all the leather work happens. The dust and the noise from the trucks are just part of the day here. Our place, Navratan Tanning, has been operating for a good long while. We handle the raw hides and do the processing. It is heavy work and it gets quite dirty, to be honest. The smells are strong, but that's just the tanning business for you. We don't have any air conditioning or a fancy lobby. It’s just a big open space where the machines run and the workers move the skins around. Most days start early before the heat gets too bad. We have a lot of stuff piled up near the entrance and in the yard. The road outside is always busy with people heading toward the highway. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out. It’s not the most beautiful place to work, but it’s what we do every day. We supply the leather that eventually becomes shoes or jackets somewhere else. We focus on the tanning part and making sure the quality is okay for the next person in line. It’s a simple operation really. We stay busy enough with the orders coming in. If you are looking for us, just look for the gates on the main road.
