N Veda Beauty Point

We have been here in Kidwai Nagar for a while now. The shop is at 128/291 H 2 Block and it’s a place where things just happen every day. Most of the time, the fans are humming and someone is sitting in the chair talking about their day. It gets busy on weekends but that’s just how it goes in Kanpur. We try to keep things tidy but sometimes the floor gets covered in bits of hair before we can grab the broom. The mirror has a little chip in the corner that we never got around to fixing. People from around the block usually just walk in without much of a plan. It’s not fancy or anything. There’s a small stool by the door where people leave their bags. We know most of the neighbors by name. Sometimes we share a tea when the afternoon lull hits. The sign outside N Veda Beauty Point has seen better days because of the sun. It’s a simple spot to get things done. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or their cousin told them. It’s just us working through the list of people waiting. The street outside can get noisy with the scooters zooming past. We keep the door mostly shut to keep the dust out. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, this is pretty much it.
