My Career Institute

The institute is situated on Harjinder Nagar Road, right near Sugandha Nursing Home. Having the nursing home there is a good way to tell people where to turn. Harjinder Nagar is a busy part of Kanpur, and there’s always something going on outside our windows. We have a few rooms in the building. They aren't very large, but they're enough for the groups that come in. We’ve got some old wooden tables and chairs that have been around for a long time. The floor is easy to clean, which is good because of all the dust from the road. We spend our days mostly reading, writing, and explaining things to the students. It’s a repetitive kind of work, but it’s what we know. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving, though they don't do much when the temperature really climbs in May and June. We keep a stack of notebooks and some spare pens in the desk drawer for anyone who forgets theirs. There’s no big corporate vibe here. It’s just us and the students trying to get through the syllabus. Sometimes we have to stop for a minute when a loud truck goes by on the road. It’s just the normal background noise of our lives here. We open up in the morning and stay until the last student heads home in the evening. It is a long day for everyone.
