Leather Land

If you find yourself in Bhannana Purwa, you might stumble across our place at 105/696. We call it Leather Land, though it’s really just a solid workshop where we handle a lot of hide and material every day. The neighborhood is pretty lived-in, and we’ve been a part of it for quite some time now. You can usually hear the sound of tools clicking or the heavy sewing machines running from the street. It’s not the quietest work, but it’s what we know. We don’t really spend much time on decorations or making the front look like a boutique. Most of the space is taken up by rolls of leather and the benches where we work. My uncle started this a long time ago, and we’ve just kept the tradition going without changing too much. It’s a practical way to spend the day. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but that’s part of the trade. We aren't looking to expand into some giant factory; we like the size we are right now. It lets us see every piece that goes out the door. We know the people around here and they know us. If someone needs a repair or a custom strap, they just walk in and we talk about it over a cup of tea. It’s a simple life, focused on the material and the tools we use. Every piece of leather has its own feel, and we just respect that.
