R. C. Leathers

R. C. Leathers is located at No. 460 in Kazi Khera, which is in the Lal Bangla area of Harjendar Nagar. We work with leather here, so there is always that specific smell in the air when you walk in. It’s a smell you get used to after a couple of days. Our shop is just a regular building in the neighborhood. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a local place doing our work. Harjendar Nagar is a decent area to be in, and we’ve been at this Kazi Khera address for quite some time. The floor is usually covered in small pieces of leather and tools. We have a few workbenches where we sit to do the cutting and stitching. It’s manual work and it takes time. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment. Most of what we do is by hand or with old machines that still work fine. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough for people to know it’s us. Sometimes we have to wait for supplies to come in, which can slow things down, but that’s just part of the business. We keep our own hours for the most part. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do to pay the bills. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just make leather goods and try to do a decent job with each piece.
