Kukku Beauty Salon

Our salon, Kukku Beauty Salon, is over in the Hok Building in Keshav Nagar. We are located in the Saket Nagar area of Kanpur. If you know where Jagran College of Arts Science & Commerce is, we are right nearby, which means we see a lot of students around. We started this salon because we wanted to have a small business of our own to run. It’s a simple setup inside the Hok Building. We do hair, skin, and the usual beauty things that people in Kanpur look for. This is a big, industrial city, and things can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and the mirrors. It’s just a necessary part of the job here. We aren't part of some big corporate chain; it's just us doing the work every day. We get a lot of locals from Saket Nagar who have been coming to us since we first opened our doors. It’s nice to see the same people every month and catch up on what’s happening in the neighborhood or at the college. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big reception desk with a phone line. It’s more of a walk-in-and-say-hello kind of place. We keep our prices fair because we know everyone works hard for their money. It’s just a normal shop in a normal part of Kanpur, and we like it that way. We just try to do a decent job for whoever walks in through the door looking for a quick trim or a shave.
