Jennies Beauty Parlour

I started this parlour here in Harsh Nagar quite some time ago. The address is 113/185-A, which is a spot most people in the neighborhood can find easily enough. It’s a local place, nothing too grand. We have a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen a lot of faces over the years. Usually, it’s just the local ladies from around Kanpur coming in for a quick trim or to get their eyebrows done before a wedding or a party. Things can get a little messy on Saturdays when everyone wants to come at once. I usually have a tea sitting on the counter that gets cold because I’m busy talking with a regular client. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and we see when we can fit you in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but it feels like home to us. We’ve watched kids grow up and start coming here themselves. It’s nice being part of the community in Harsh Nagar. Sometimes we run out of certain supplies and I have to send someone out quickly to grab more. It’s just a normal, working parlour where we try to do a decent job every day. No big fancy machines, just our hands and the usual tools we’ve always used. We have been here for years and hope to stay for many more because we like the people around here.
