Jawed Habib Hair & Beauty Profession

Kanpur is a loud city, especially around the 208001 area where Jawed Habib Hair & Beauty Profession is. We are right in the middle of all that noise. It is just me and a couple of other guys working here most days. The shop isn't huge but we make it work. We have the usual black chairs and the floor is almost always covered in hair because there is always someone coming in. People think because of the name it is all fancy, but it is just a regular shop where we do our jobs. I’ve lived in Kanpur my whole life and this part of town has changed a lot, but the work stays the same. We start early when the shops around us are still closed. The morning air is the only time it's quiet. Once the traffic starts, it stays busy until late. We get all kinds of people, from students to older men who have been living in this colony for forty years. We don't really do the big advertising stuff. People just know we are here. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we manage. We just focus on the scissors and the combs. It is a decent living. The tea stalls nearby are always full, and sometimes we go grab a snack when it’s slow. Just a basic spot in Kanpur for anyone who needs a haircut or a shave. It's nothing fancy, just a place to get tidy.
