Zain International

Zain International is tucked away at No. 67/8 in Pokharpur, which is right in the Jajmau area. Jajmau is famous for all the leather work and industrial activity, and we are right in the middle of that. Our building is a bit old, but it serves us well for what we do. We handle a lot of different things here, mostly focused on trade and getting items ready for shipping. The rooms are filled with boxes and samples of materials. It can get quite cramped when a new shipment comes in, and we have to move things around to make space. The street outside is narrow and can get blocked easily if a large truck tries to pass through. We know most of the other business owners on this block, so we help each other out when needed. There is a lot of noise during the day from the nearby workshops. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but there is always the sound of tape dispensers and people talking on the phone. We don't spend much money on decorating the place because we’re too busy actually working. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting crates and checking lists. We’ve been here long enough that the cracks in the floor don't even bother us anymore.
