World Leather

World Leather is over at No. 86-36-B in Pokahrpur. We are near the Arebia area, which most locals can point you toward if you get lost. Working with leather is a different kind of job. It has a specific smell that sticks to your clothes, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our workshop isn't very large, but we have the heavy-duty machines needed for this kind of material. Leather is tough on the hands and the needles, so we go through supplies pretty quickly. We spend our days cutting hides and stitching them into various things. It’s physical work and your back usually hurts by five o'clock. We don't have a shiny office or anything. It’s just a workshop with a lot of tools and rolls of leather stacked against the walls. We have a couple of older guys who have been working with leather their whole lives, and they show the younger ones how it’s done. We don't talk about being the best or anything. We just try not to waste any material because leather is expensive. Sometimes we have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. It’s a simple life here in Pokahrpur. We do the work, lock up the gate at night, and come back to do it again the next morning.
