We are located at No. 382/353 in Shitla Bazar, which is right in the Jajmau area. Tanning is what we do, and it’s been that way for years. Jajmau is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in. The facility is large because we need space for the hides and the processing vats. It’s not a clean or quiet job. There is always water and the sound of machinery. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. Our office is just a small corner partitioned off from the main floor. We keep our records there and talk to suppliers. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have fancy furniture or air conditioning in the main area. We just focus on the leather. The smell of the bazar is a mix of everything. Some days the logistics of moving skins in and out can be a real pain. We have a crew that’s been with us for a long time. We aren’t interested in being corporate. We just want to produce decent leather that people can use for shoes or bags. It’s hard work and your hands stay dirty most of the day. That’s just the nature of the business in Shitla Bazar. We've been at this specific spot for a long time and the locals know where to find us.
