We have been here at Gajjupurwa in Jajmau for a long time now. It’s a busy spot, mostly known for leather, and our place at 9-10 is right in the middle of it. If you walk around here, you know the smell of the tanneries and the sound of machines running all day. That’s just how life is for us. We started small, just handling a few hides, and eventually, things grew. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It's mostly just dusty floors and stacks of leather piled up waiting to be shipped out. People come by asking for different grades of leather, and we just show them what we have in stock. My father used to handle the workers, and now I mostly take care of the daily stuff. It's hard work, especially in the heat, but it's what we know how to do. Some days are slow, others we are loaded with orders and can barely find a place to sit. We don't spend much time on the internet or making things look pretty. We just focus on getting the leather ready. If you're looking for us, we are right there in the Jajmau area, usually someone is around to open the gate. We keep it simple. No big talk, just the leather we work on every day. It's a tough business but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
