You can find M/S. Leather Fashion World at 435/396 A-1A in the Makku Shaheed Bhatta area of Purani Chungi. We are located in Jajmau, which is the heart of the leather business here in Kanpur. Being near the Bhatta Masjid makes it pretty easy for people to find us if they are in the neighborhood. Our workshop is always filled with the distinct smell of processed leather and the sound of sewing machines running. We have stacks of hides in different colors piled up on the worktables. It’s a busy place with workers cutting pieces and stitching them together all day long. The building is a bit old and the stairs are narrow, but it serves us well enough for the work we do. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that; it's mostly just a place where the actual work happens. The heat in Kanpur can be very intense, so we have big industrial fans that stay on from the moment we open until we close up for the evening. We mostly deal with local orders and people who have been coming to us for years. We aren't really into big marketing or anything like that. We just focus on getting the pieces finished and ready for the market. Most of our staff have lived in Jajmau their whole lives and they know the leather trade inside and out. It’s a hard-working atmosphere but we like what we do.
