Leather Plus

We are based at Plot No. 70, right inside the Hindustan Tannery Campus in Jajmau. Being near the Dargah Sharif makes it easy for people to find the general area. This part of Jajmau is all about leather, and we’ve been part of it for years. Our unit is 88/74. It’s a rugged place. You can hear the sounds of the bigger tanneries all around us. We focus on our specific part of the process. The floors are hard and the walls are a bit stained, but it’s a working environment. We don't have air conditioning, just big open doors to let the breeze in. The humidity can be tough on some days, but we keep working. We handle a lot of bulk material here. There are piles of skins waiting to be sorted and moved. It’s a lot of physical labor. We wear heavy aprons and boots most of the day. The campus is always buzzing with trucks and workers. It’s not the kind of place for a suit and tie. We get our hands dirty every single day. We know the other folks in the campus well. We help each other out with tools or loading when needed. It’s a community of workers. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a long time and know our way around a hide. We keep a ledger of all the shipments by the entrance.
