Leather Land Shoes

We've been around Jajmau for a while now. Most people know this part of Pokharpur is where the leather work happens, and that's exactly what we do at Leather Land Shoes. It started out small, just a few of us working with different hides and trying to make shoes that wouldn't fall apart after a month of walking on these roads. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It's more of a workshop where you can smell the tan and see the dust. People come by when they need something sturdy for work or just a pair of boots that look decent. Sometimes the machines act up or the leather doesn't arrive on time, but we manage to get things done. We mostly stick to traditional styles because that's what we know how to do well. My father started showing me how to cut the soles when I was a kid. Now I’m the one making sure the stitching stays straight. It isn't a glamorous job, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the day. We just focus on getting the fit right so people don't come back complaining about blisters. If you're looking for something that lasts, we are usually here from morning until late evening. It's just a regular shop in a busy area, nothing more. We try to keep things simple and let the shoes speak for themselves when someone puts them on.
