Jai Maa Beauty Parlour

Our parlour is over in the Nehru Vidyalaya Market on Makanpur Road. Araul is a small place, so finding us isn't hard if you know the market area. We’ve set up shop here to help the local ladies with their grooming needs. It’s a basic room with the essential tools for hair and skin. We do bridal makeup when the season comes around, but mostly it's just regular stuff like eyebrows or a haircut. Kanpur gets quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. The market is usually busy with people coming from the surrounding villages. The market gets very busy on Tuesdays, so we usually see more people then. We have been here for a few years now. It’s just me and one helper usually. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the door. People trust us because we’ve been around. It’s a simple life running a shop in the market. We talk to the neighbors and keep track of what’s happening in Araul. Sometimes the power goes out, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some high-end studio. It is just Jai Maa Beauty Parlour, a place for local women to come and feel a bit better. We keep our prices fair because we know everyone here. It is a practical business for a practical town.
