Imran Salon

This salon is in the Civil Lines area of Kanpur, specifically in the Doodh Bangla part. We are quite close to the Axis Bank, so there are always people walking around. It’s a busy part of town. Imran Salon isn’t a huge place, but we have enough room for a few customers at a time. The mirrors are large and show the whole room. We have some old chairs that are still comfortable. Kanpur is a fast city, and Civil Lines is right in the middle of it. We see a lot of office workers coming in for a quick shave or a trim before they go to work. The shop gets a bit messy during the day with all the hair and used towels, but we try to keep up with it. It smells a bit like talcum powder and aftershave. We have a small radio that plays the news or some music. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but it’s fine for now. We aren’t trying to be a luxury place, just a reliable salon for the local men. People know me by name, and I know most of theirs. It’s a simple life, working day in and day out near the bank. We just do the job and hope the customers are satisfied enough to return. It is just our little corner in this big city.
