Ideal Tanning Industries Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 600-c Defence Colony in Jajmau. Since we are in the Jajmau area, you can imagine what the daily grind is like. It’s a very industrial part of town, and the air is thick with the sounds of machinery and trucks moving back and forth. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where the real work happens. Tanning leather is a messy process and it’s a lot of hard labor. People here wear heavy boots and aprons because that’s just the nature of the job. We don’t have a lot of office staff; it’s mostly people who know how to handle the hides and the chemicals. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the machines running, but the team here is used to the heat. We don't spend money on fancy signage or marketing campaigns because our work speaks for itself among the folks who need leather processed. It’s a practical business. We’ve had some of the same equipment for a long time, and as long as it works, we keep using it. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but that’s just part of living in Jajmau. We focus on getting the tanning done right and making sure the batches are ready when they need to be. Most of the time, we’re just covered in dust or focused on the vats, but it’s honest work and we’ve been at it for years.
