Our place is on 150 Feet Road in Jajmau, specifically at Id (17-A-1). If you’ve ever been to Jajmau, you know it’s the heart of the tanning business. The road is wide but it’s usually full of tractors and trucks moving skins around. Our facility at Homera Tanning Industries Pvt Ltd. is a busy spot. Tanning isn't a clean job, so the floors are often wet and there’s a strong smell of leather and processing salts. We’ve been doing this for a long time. The building is tall and we use every inch of the space for the drums and the drying racks. It’s a lot of physical labor. Most of our guys have tough hands and don’t mind the grime. We start early when the sun is still low. The noise of the machinery is constant, and you have to shout a bit to be heard. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. People who come to see us are usually here for business and they know what a working tannery looks like. We keep the ledger books in a small room near the front gate. It’s a straightforward life.
