If you know Jajmau in Kanpur, you know what it’s like. Our place is at Plot No: 52-A, right on that 150 Ft Road. It’s a wide road, but it always feels crowded with trucks and rickshaws moving back and forth. Tanning leather is hard work, and that’s what we do day in and day out. The smell is something you just live with after a few years. Inside the unit, it’s always busy. We have the machines running, and the floors are often wet from the processing. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but Globe Tanners has been part of this industrial landscape for a long time. We mostly focus on getting the hides ready and making sure the quality is what it needs to be for the next stage. The office is just a small room tucked away from the main production floor where we keep the registers and files. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just get the batches processed and out the door. The workers here have been with us for a long time. We take our lunch breaks together when the machines are quiet for a bit. Kanpur is a big hub for this, and being on the 150 Ft Road makes it easier for the transport guys to find us. It’s just a regular factory life, making sure the leather is handled right every single day of the week.
