Gitas Beauty Parlour

Gitas is located at 118/103 in Block No-7, right in the Gumti No 5 area of Kanpur. If you tell anyone you are near Talk Of The Town, they usually know exactly where you are. This part of the city is always moving. There is so much noise from the market nearby, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. The shop is tucked into the block. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the essentials. I remember when we first moved into this unit; the floor was a different color then. We keep a few chairs for people to wait, though it gets tight when it's busy. I usually have the tea guy come by twice a day. Gumti is a special place in Kanpur, very lively. We don’t bother with fancy decorations. The mirrors are clear and the floor is clean, and that’s what matters to me. We have our regulars who have been coming since we opened. They know the family and we know theirs. It’s more like a neighborhood gathering spot than a cold business. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if someone is running behind. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us here at Block No-7, making sure the work gets done and the customers are satisfied.
