Leather Port

Leather Port is located at 649 Faithful Gunj. It’s a sturdy old building that has seen better days, but it holds our stock just fine. We have a lot of space here, which is lucky because we have a lot of leather. The rooms are filled with the sound of leather being moved and stacked. It’s a heavy, thumping sound. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, but they’re usually covered in a bit of grime. We don't spend much time cleaning the windows; we’re too busy with the orders. There are about four of us who work here regularly. We’ve all been doing this for a long time. We know the difference between a good hide and a bad one just by the feel. We don't use fancy software to track things, just a big chalkboard and some ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The Faithful Gunj area is a good place to be. It’s central enough for our suppliers to reach us easily. We have a small area in the front where we keep the best pieces. Sometimes a lightbulb flickers and we forget to change it for a week. We’re more worried about the quality of the material than the décor of the office. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a simple life for us here, and that’s how we like it.
