Dimond Unisex Salon

Dimond Unisex Salon is located at 128/27 in D Block of Kidwai Nagar in Kanpur. We are tucked away in the Hanuman Mandir Lane. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to be careful with your bike. Because we are a unisex salon, we get both men and women coming in. We have separate sections so everyone feels okay. The temple is right nearby, so you can always hear the bells ringing in the morning and evening. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but that’s just Kanpur for you. The shop has some tiled walls and a few spinning chairs. We do everything from basic haircuts to more involved things like hair smoothing if someone asks. I spend a lot of my day standing near the front door watching the people go by when it’s slow. We have a small cooler for water because the heat in Kidwai Nagar can be really something in May. The staff are just local people who have learned the trade over time. We aren't trying to be some high-end place; we just want to provide a spot where neighbors can get their hair done without traveling too far. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use hand fans while we wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just a normal, busy life in a Kanpur lane.
