Diamonds Gents Parlour

Diamonds Gents Parlour has been a part of the Govind Nagar area for quite some time. We are right on Chawla Market Road, specifically at 81/1 Block No-9. If you know where Chawala Market is, then you know exactly where we are located. It’s a busy street with a lot of shops, so there’s always noise and people walking by. Our shop is for the men in the neighborhood who need a shave or a haircut. We’ve got the old-style chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. They’re still comfortable enough though. Most of our regulars come in once a month like clockwork. We talk about the news or whatever else is happening in Kanpur while we work. It’s not a fancy place with bright neon lights. We just have the basics. A couple of mirrors, some good scissors, and a radio that’s usually playing in the background. Sometimes when it’s wedding season, we get a bit more crowded with guys wanting to look sharp for the parties. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We just want to make sure the sideburns are even and the beard is trimmed right. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping up. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We open up early and stay until the last customer is done. It’s just how we do things here every single day.
