We are based out of Bans Mandi at number 79/56. This whole area is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the other shops and warehouses around here. Royalascot Leather has been around for some time now. We work with leather mostly, which is dusty work and the smell of the hides is something you just get used to after a week or two on the job. Our building is an older one with high ceilings, but it holds everything we need for the daily operations. We spend the days cutting, sorting through piles, and packing up boxes for transport. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, and my hands are usually stained with dyes by the end of the day. We have a few machines that make a lot of noise, but they get the job done right. The trucks come into Bans Mandi early in the morning to drop off new supplies and take away the finished bits. Sometimes the street gets totally blocked up with carts, which is a bit of a headache for everyone. We don’t really have a showroom or anything like that for people to visit. It’s mostly just a workspace where we get things finished. People who need leather know exactly where to find us in the alley. We just focus on the orders we have on the desk. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
