Champanatha Farmers Producer Company Limited is located over in Ekadal, within the Kanpurnarasinghpur area. We are a small group of local people who decided it was time to change how we did things. For a long time, every farmer in Ekadal was just doing their own thing. It was lonely work and not very stable. We put this company together so we could share our resources and maybe get a better price for what we grow. We don't have a flashy headquarters or anything like that. If you come looking for us at At/Po-Ekadal, you’ll just see a regular spot where we gather. We are more comfortable in the fields than behind a desk. Most of us have been farming here in Kanpurnarasinghpur our whole lives. We know which parts of the soil are good and which parts need more work. Our name, Champanatha Farmers Producer Company Limited, is something we are proud of even if it is a bit long to write down. We don't have any polished speeches or mission statements. We just want to make sure we can keep doing what we love without going broke. Some years are better than others, and right now we are just figuring out the best way to move forward. It’s a lot of trial and error. We learn something new every season. It is just a group of neighbors trying to help each other out in a practical way.
