Out here in Kukudhi, things move at their own pace. We set up Sadacharagri Bio Energy Farmers Producer Company Limited because the local farmers needed a way to deal with energy and crops together. We operate out of Rajendra Prasad's place, right at 1 Kukudhi in the Kaundhiyara area of Karchhna. It is not some big fancy office building with glass walls. It is just a spot where people from the village come to talk about their harvests and how we can use the waste for bio energy. Karchhna is a quiet place mostly. We spend our days looking at what the soil is doing and how the bio energy side of things can actually help someone pay their bills. Rajendra is around most of the time if someone stops by. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know the land. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the rain does not show up on time, but that is just how it goes in farming. We are trying to make sure the farmers around Kaundhiyara get a fair deal. It is a lot of paperwork sometimes, which none of us really like, but it has to be done to keep the company running. We just want to keep working the land and seeing what we can grow next season. It is basic work, nothing too complicated. We just stay busy and keep the gates open for the neighbors.
