Puthusseri Aqua Farms Private Limited

Our place is called Puthussari House and it is located in Keezhara, right near the Cherukun R.S. in the Cherukunnu area. We are in the 670301 postal zone of Kannur. Puthusseri Aqua Farms Private Limited is what we call the business, and it is pretty much centered around the water and the land here. We spend a lot of our time outside or near the tanks, so the office in the house is mostly for the boring stuff like papers and phone calls. Keezhara is a nice, quiet spot and it suits the kind of work we do with aqua farming. It’s not a fast-paced environment, things take time to grow and you can’t really rush nature. We wake up when the sun comes up and usually head down to the water first thing. The house is where we keep all the records and where people come when they need to talk business. It is a very grounded way of making a living. We don't use any big words or complicated systems. We just look at what’s in front of us and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the rain gets heavy in Kannur and that changes our plans for the day, but we just adapt. It is a simple life and the work is hard but it feels good at the end of the day.
