Oushadhamithra Herbal Producer Company Limited

We are located at Rama Nilayam, right near the East Nadasree Raghavapuram Sabhayogam Temple. Being in Cheruthazham is nice because it is a place with a lot of history. Our work is all about herbs and traditional plants. We are a producer company, which means we work with a lot of local people who grow these things. The office is at Cp 13/6 and it usually has a very specific smell of dried leaves and roots. It’s a bit different from a normal office. We spend a lot of time sorting through different herbs and making sure they are stored correctly. The temple nearby brings a lot of peace to the area, though it can get crowded during festivals. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's mostly just local folks who know a thing or two about plants. We sit around the table and talk about which herbs are growing well this year. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult, but we find a way to keep the drying process going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just like what we do and we want to keep the herbal traditions alive in our own small way. It is practical work that requires a lot of patience. People stop by to chat or ask about the plants quite often. We just keep the doors open and do our bit for the community.
