Kannur Pravasi Aqua Farm Llp

We are located at Al Manarmannayadnambiar Peedika in Nettur, which is near Thalassery. Kannur Pravasi Aqua Farm LLP was started by a few of us who spent years working away from home. The name 'Pravasi' kind of gives that away. We wanted to come back to Kannur and start something productive on our own land. Aqua farming seemed like a good idea because we have the water and the space here. It has been a big learning curve, though. Raising fish is a lot different than working an office job or construction in another country. You have to watch the water levels and the feed very carefully. Our place in Nettur isn't fancy. It is just where we keep the tanks and the equipment we need. Sometimes the pumps break down at the worst times, or the weather gets too hot for the fish, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some massive industrial seafood supplier. We just want to produce good, local fish for the markets around Thalassery and Kannur. It is quiet work for the most part, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. It feels good to be back home and working on something that is ours. If you are ever passing through the Nettur area, you might see us out by the ponds, just doing what needs to be done to keep the fish healthy.
