Mayyil Rice Producer Company Limited

This is the Mayyil Rice Producer Company Limited office, located right at Door No. VII 265 in Mayyil. We are basically right there where the KK Kanhananthan Nambiar Smaraka Public Library is. It's a handy spot for everyone in the area to find us. Dealing with rice means our days are mostly about the harvest and talking to the local growers. Since we are in Kannur, we see a lot of rain, which is good for the paddy fields but makes the roads a bit muddy sometimes. Our setup in the CRC Mayyil building is pretty simple. There isn't any fancy furniture or big corporate desks here. We mostly just sit around and discuss how the current crop is looking or what needs to be done for the next season. Being near the library makes it easy for folks to stop in after they finish their other errands. We handle the paperwork and the distribution from this small spot in Mayyil. It’s a group effort, really. Everyone knows everyone else around here, so word gets around fast if something needs doing. The post office is just nearby too, which helps with the mail. We don’t really do much advertising because most people in Mayyil already know who we are and where we sit. It’s just about getting the rice from the fields to where it needs to go without too much trouble. It keeps us busy enough throughout the year. We enjoy the work and the community.
