You can find us at Raghav Sadanam, house number 240. Jigeesh V. P. is usually around there if you need to talk to someone. We are based in Kannur, which is a place we’ve all lived in for most of our lives. This isn't some corporate setup with a glass building. It’s more of a home-grown operation. We deal with fresh farm stuff, mostly whatever is in season and looks good. The work starts early, usually before the birds are even making noise. We spend a lot of time on our feet, checking on the produce and making sure it gets to where it needs to go without getting bruised or spoiled. It gets humid here, so we take breaks when we can. Our group is made of people who know the land. We don't have a marketing department. We just have our names and our word. If the vegetables are good, people come back. That is our basic way of doing things. Sometimes the house gets a bit crowded with crates and paperwork, but we manage. It feels more like a family than a business most days. We have had some tough years with the weather, but we keep at it because it’s what we know. Kannur is a good place to be if you like things fresh. We're just trying to keep the tradition going while keeping the lights on. It takes a lot of effort to keep things moving every day.
