Apollo Scales

Apollo Scales is located at number 13 on Aranganathan Subway Road in Cauvery Nagar, Saidapet. Being right by the subway means there is a constant stream of cars and buses passing by our front door, which makes it a pretty lively spot. We have been here for years, and most of the locals know us by the various scales we have sitting out or in the window. We deal with everything from small digital balances to the big heavy-duty ones used in warehouses. The shop is a bit cluttered because people are always bringing in old scales for us to look at or calibrate. There is usually a workbench in the back covered in springs, wires, and little metal weights. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time making sure things are balanced correctly, which takes a bit of patience and a steady hand. The office part is just a desk tucked into a corner where we keep the ledger. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology for our own stuff; we prefer the old-fashioned way of doing business. Sometimes the vibration from the heavy trucks going through the subway makes the scales flicker, so we have to be careful when we are testing them. It is just a regular local business where we try to be helpful and keep things honest for the people who rely on us.
