You can find us at 140 Old Mahabalipuram Road, down in the Semmancheri area. It's a long road and the commute can be quite a stretch for some of the guys, but this is where the work happens. Symrise Private Limited has a fairly large footprint here. We deal with a lot of different flavors and scents, which means there’s always something new being tested in the labs. It’s not just a place where things are made; it’s where a lot of thinking goes on about how things should taste or smell. The building is functional. We have labs, we have storage, and we have the offices all together. It’s a bit more structured than a small shop, but it still feels like a place where real work gets done. You’ll see people in white coats walking around with clipboards, checking on batches. The temperature has to be kept just right for some of the ingredients we store. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when a big shipment is due to go out, and everyone has to pitch in to get things moving. We aren't much for small talk during the peak hours. We just focus on the chemistry and the logistics of it all. It’s a professional environment but we still have our lunch breaks together in the canteen, talking about the local news or the traffic on OMR. That is our daily life here.
