Alex Leathers Exports

Our business is located at Plot No. 37 in Venkteswara Nagar, which is an annexe of Perungudi. We deal with leather exports, and we’ve been at it for quite a while now. The area used to be much quieter, but it has built up a lot recently. Our workspace is mostly just a large open room where we sort through the hides and get everything ready for shipping. It’s not the kind of place that would win any awards for interior design. We have some old wooden tables and plenty of crates piled up. The smell of leather is very strong here, but we don't even notice it anymore. We spend a lot of our time checking for marks and making sure the hides are in the right condition. It’s a small operation, and we don't have many employees. Most of us have been here since the beginning, so we know the routine inside and out. We don't really have a website or do any kind of promotion. People find us through word of mouth or because they’ve worked with us before. Sometimes we have to wait a long time for the trucks to arrive, so we just sit around and drink coffee. It’s a slow and steady kind of work, and we like it that way. We aren't in a hurry to grow too big. We just do the work we have and call it a day when the light starts to fade.
